1. Who you are contracting with

The seller you are contracting with is Sebenza AI. "Sebenza AI" is the legal business name under which the seller trades, and it is both the trading name and the entity name of the seller. Sebenza AI is the seller and operator of this service; it is not a payment provider, an AI provider or a reseller of third-party services.

When you create an account or buy a plan, your contract is with Sebenza AI — not with any payment provider, AI provider or other third party named in these terms.

In these terms, references to "Sebenza AI", "we", "us" and "our" mean Sebenza AI, the seller identified above. References to "you" mean the individual or organisation that uses the service.

By continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms.

2. What Sebenza AI is

Sebenza AI is an online service that helps people manage their job search and career. It builds a structured profile of your career, finds job opportunities from legitimate sources, helps you prepare applications, and supports interview preparation and career growth. It also lets employers post jobs and manage applications.

Sebenza AI is a tool, not a recruitment agency, an employer, or a guarantor of employment. We do not hire anyone, and we do not promise that using the service will lead to a job offer.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information when creating an account and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to use Sebenza AI.

One person, one account. Sharing an account with another person is not allowed, because your career data is private to you.

3. How the AI works — and its limits

Sebenza AI uses artificial intelligence to draft content, score opportunities and summarise information. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or biased. You are responsible for checking anything the AI produces before you rely on it or send it to anyone.

Sebenza AI never submits an application, sends a message to an employer, or confirms an interview on its own. Every consequential action waits for your explicit approval, and every action is logged.

Match scores, quality grades and readiness assessments are Sebenza's honest opinion to help you decide. They are not guarantees, certifications or endorsements.

4. Job seekers' responsibilities

Only add facts that are true. Do not invent qualifications, experience, references or achievements, and do not ask Sebenza AI to invent them for you.

Treat other people's information carefully. If an employer or recruiter shares information with you through Sebenza AI, use it only for your job search.

5. Recruiters' and employers' responsibilities

Job listings must be real vacancies for real positions. Posting fake, misleading, expired or duplicate listings is not allowed.

Listings must follow the law, including employment, anti-discrimination and advertising rules in every country where the job is offered. You may not ask for or filter on protected characteristics such as race, religion, gender, age, disability or family status.

Sebenza independently assesses every listing for quality and risk. Employers cannot pay to change their quality score, trust assessment, risk warnings or verification status, and may not attempt to suppress or influence them. We may hold, restrict or remove any listing that fails these checks.

Handle candidate data lawfully and only for recruitment. Do not sell candidate information, and do not use it for unrelated marketing.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Sebenza AI to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, scrape the service, probe or attack our systems, or bypass access controls on other websites.

Do not upload malicious files or content you do not have the right to share.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users or the service at risk.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or write: your resume, work history, documents, messages and job listings.

You give us permission to store it, process it to provide the service, and show it to the people you choose to share it with — for example, an employer you apply to. We do not sell your data and we do not use your documents to advertise to others.

8. Fees, payments and refunds

Sebenza AI offers paid subscription plans for job seekers (Launch, Build and Advanced), billed monthly or quarterly. The price, what is included and the billing period are shown clearly before you pay.

If you purchase a paid plan, your order is processed by our payment partner, who acts as the Merchant of Record for the transaction and handles payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics. We always show you who the payment partner is before you pay.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; your account returns to the Free plan immediately and you will not be charged again.

9. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep Sebenza AI available, but we cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, third-party outages and other events may interrupt the service.

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Sebenza AI after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Sebenza AI and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.

When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymise your personal data except where we must keep certain records by law (see the Privacy Policy).

11. Disclaimers and liability

Sebenza AI is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude warranties that are not stated here, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — such as lost income, lost opportunities or missed interviews — arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Guidance produced by Sebenza AI is general information. It is not legal, immigration or financial advice.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your own country.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
